With the song of birds and the wind in the leaves, the soft murmur of water in a garden instantly creates a zen and relaxing atmosphere. The easiest way to achieve this result is to set up a small fountain.
You will find of any kind in store but if you are an adaptation of the homemade and customization, then you obviously prefer to create it yourself for a small fee!
The project is nothing to get stressed about. In a mere weekend, you can fountain-ize most any leftover garden ornament, turning it into an enduring monument to tranquillity. Revive a defunct birdbath, declare your own ode to a Grecian urn, or drill holes in a stack of rocks you found on-site.
To get there easily, I propose this step by step guide to make a beautiful outdoor stone fountain.
And here is a simple and inexpensive method that allows you to create a hollow sphere of raw concrete, with a magical design of giant dragon eggs. These spheres are unique, customizable, and can be used to decorate the garden or the interior.
All you will need:
- 3 parts of Cement
- 3 parts of Arena
- 1 part of water
- A quick-setting creative concrete pot
- A container for mixing concrete
- Acrylic paint (all types) white, black, gold
- Paint brushes
- Gloves
• Stones if more consistency is desired
The stages of realization:
- Quickly mix these ingredients in the container 200 g of creative concrete powder with 100 ml of water until the mixture is well homogenous to obtain a semi-liquid texture.
At that point it will be ready for use,
Ps: the process should be quick because it dries up fast.
-The molds are covered with non-stick cooking spray or simply with cooking oil. When the molds are made of wood, wax should be used. Many molds can be reused, so they must be cleaned immediately once the pot has been removed from the mold.
-To make your own cement pots you will need molds. These are easy to obtain since they can be made with some plastic pot, with PVC pipes, with cardboard, with wood, fibrofácil, etc. Usually two are needed, one larger and one smaller.
In the big one, the smallest one is placed inside, it is filled with the material, it is accommodated with a spatula and then it is removed to make the pot. and finally the smaller mold is removed.
The big one is covered with a nylon and it is necessary to take the precaution of wetting with an atomizer so that it stays with a certain humidity until the big container is unmoulded. It is convenient to leave a few days without removing.
Some molds, such as plastic pots, can be used to make other pots once used. These molds should be immediately cleaned and left in conditions for later use.
-Pour your mixture through the funnel into the mold.
To make drains, small pipes are used, which are sprayed with non-stick oil so that the cement does not stick and can be removed once the pot is made.
• Finally, after a few days, the large container is removed and the cement, concrete or concrete pot will be made. Previously it must be wet with cold water to keep the material moist. To unmold after a few days the pot is placed upside down, it is given a light tap and that way it is demoulded.
• You can leave them like this or intervene in different ways, paint them with chosen colors, dye a part, metallize them, etc. They can also be sanded to give a more neat finish.

For finishing, I decide to paint them with gold.
- Let stand and dry for 1 hour.
And this is the final result,
Next time i will show you how I decorate my garden (painting the wall, refresh the table and chairs)
see u soon ^_^
